But there are no qualifiers, so the player always wins four units back. This makes the math a little simpler. We’re just looking for the lowest possible hand a player can have that will win 25 percent of the time. If you win 25 percent of the time, the hand will win back at least the Play bet and will lose less than if you Fold.
The final wrinkle in all of this is the dealer’s up card. That’s important, but a lot less than some might think.
Three Card Poker has the simplest strategy you can hope for. This is one side you have to remember that tells you the whole strategy – Queen-six-four. If your hand is at least so, you are playing. Otherwise you fold visit PisauQQ.
Four Card Poker is hardly easy. When the game was first released, Shuffle Master (later owner) published the following basic strategy:
Bet 3x if you have Pair of 10 or better
Bet 1x if you have Pair 3 – 9
Fold if you have less than Pair 3’s
This is not a difficult memorization strategy. With this strategy, you get a 98.41 percent return, which is a very solid return. But the strategy above is unlike the one with Three Card Poker, as it is far from perfect. Far, being somewhat subjective in this regard.
A more accurate strategy will take us to 98.6 percent and that’s where Four Card Poker comes into my professional room. I didn’t do the original analysis for Four Card Poker, but my eventual analysis will be instrumental in launching my game analysis credentials.
